Methodology
Where do prices come from?
Prices are collected by EZ Setup on Amazon France, Germany, Italy and Spain, in euros, VAT included, delivery excluded. Every price shown carries the date it was checked.
When you open a product page, your browser asks for prices older than 24 hours to be refreshed.
Which price comes first?
The main price is the one of your language's country: Amazon.fr in French and English, Amazon.de in German, Amazon.it in Italian, Amazon.es in Spanish. The other countries are listed below, and a country more than 5% cheaper is pointed out.
How are products ranked?
Products are sorted into categories (graphics cards, processors, SSDs…) from their Amazon category and title; accessories (stands, cables, adapters) are left out. Useful specifications (video memory, socket, RAM type, capacity, screen size…) are extracted from the title and the product page.
How is compatibility checked?
Every build is put together by hand. Simple rules are then checked: processor and motherboard socket, RAM type, motherboard and case form factor, graphics card length, power supply wattage, cooler height.
An unknown specification never blocks a build: it is flagged "to check".
The whole build in one country
A build's total is computed in each country. If another Amazon is cheaper for all the parts, we suggest it: one order, one delivery, simple returns. You choose; nothing switches automatically.
